Maple In The County

Maple in the county has grown bigger than ever this year.  In the past, I honestly thought that all it was just a pancake breakfast!  Maple in the County is a week long celebration spread across the county with over 35 participating business's for 2010.  We would have liked to visited all of them, but with 2 very active little girls, I don't think WE could have handled it!  We chose to eat a pancake breakfast at Fosterholm farms, which was packed as usual.  We then headed over to Picton BIA's maple madness, where Ross st. was closed off for the event.  There was sap bucket painting for the kids, face painting, ice carving, a clown and more. We warmed up in the car and went to Stones Farms, where there were antique tractors on display.  The video above highlights our day!  We encourage anyone to get out, get some fresh air, and be part of the event that kick starts the county's tourism season!

We went with Emily, Ingrid and Adrian in the afternoon. Enjoyed the Nyman Farm. Kids loved the animals, especially the baby lambs. Checked out some Fire Trucks and ended up at Foster Holm Farm for a pan cake super. Great video Trevor.
